Farms and gardens produce an abundance of healthy food that can be shared in communities and cities experiencing food deserts\, lack access to fresh produce\, ability to feed the hungry\, and disaster relief food supplies. A US-wide (and in the future global) map of farms and gardens in the AME Church connection and other faith-based communities is currently in development to create a sustainable nationwide food supply network and teach the economic and health benefits of local farms and gardens.
